I like the idea of exotic hot dogs! They have different type of meats that are not just beef, pork, and chiken Something very different. Let the person who takes your order that its your first time and they are willing to explain and give reccomendations! Got the Duck Bacon: smokey duck flavor. Super good recommend. Rattlesnake Rabbit: a bit too gamey for me. It's super juicy, like every bit had juice just pop out. There's also a slight cartilage crunch. Guessing that's the snake part. The rabbit gamey smell was too strong for me though. There's seating around the back area, it's kind of hidden and I didn't know where ny friend was taking me, thought she was heading for the toilets. It's a cool back area where all the sauces are just lined up on tables. It's cool after you finish your food you can leave the trash there and the server just cleans it up, since we weren't able to spot any trash cans. Willing to try other exotics next time.
I'm seeing a lot of now mixed reviews, but this place is THE REAL DEAL. So many good choices, so much flavor and such a nice seating selection. Food was immaculate. Both bratwurst dogs we had were super tastey. Fries were crispy and soft on the inside. Sauces were excellent and beer was PERFECT for a hot day. Will 100% recommend to everyone
Been wanting to try this place for a very long time and finally had the chance to. They have an amazing selection of beers, I liked the Fruli in particular. I thought it was a nice touch that they also used the branded cups based on beers you get! The hot dogs live up to the hype, I particularly had the beef dog and the duck dog (which I've never had before). Both were delicious with the sides of caramelized onions and sauerkraut. Don't forget you can also top it with whole mustard seeds. The fries were thick cut and we chose a chipotle mayo sauce. The vibe was great, parking not (as expected). Overall delicious and would definitely come again.
If you're on the hunt for a sausage fest like no other, look no further than Wurstküche in the Art District LA! This place is a meaty paradise, offering a plethora of sausages that will make your taste buds happy. We tried the bratwurst and lamb sausages, and boy, we were impressed! The bratwurst was your classic, deliciously seasoned affair, but the lamb? The seasoning and spices on that one took it to a whole new level, perfectly complementing the rich lamb flavor. We loved how distinct and unique each sausage and sauce tasted, making every bite an adventure. And let's talk about those Belgium fries - meaty and crispy! They're the perfect sidekick to your sausage duo. Now, no sausage experience is complete without some exceptional beer, and Wurstküche delivers on that front too. With a fantastic selection of Belgian and German drafts, you'll be spoiled for choice. Our favorite was the St Bernardus Abt 12, a fruity Belgium brew that paired beautifully with the bratwurst. In conclusion, Wurstküche is the ultimate sausage and beer destination. Great flavors, fantastic sides and sauces, and a beer selection that will make you want to stay, eat and drink forever. Prost!
Came here on a Sunday around 2 pm. There's some tight street parking around the neighborhood. My sister has been wanting to try this place for a while and we finally came while she was in town. She really wanted to try some of their exotic dogs. We decided to get the buffalo with luxardo cherries and mint and the rattlesnake and rabbit with jalapeño. For both we got the caramelized onions and sauerkraut toppings. The employee helping us was friendly and offered some suggestions as well. There's a good amount of seating outside but even more in their corner room. We opted to sit outside. They had all of their mustards on the table. I tried every single one. I genuinely loved each one of them except for the Dijon, which was just okay. The whole grain and honey mustard were my favorite. I personally thought the array of mustards were more unique than the hot dogs, which were good but not as different as we were anticipating. I wish there were more options for toppings but I understand that the 4 toppings available are maybe more traditional. Would I come back? Maybe! I won't be going out of my way to try anything again but my partner and I like to go out to some bars in the area, so maybe we'll stop by for a dog and drink!
It's been 10 years since I have been here. Today I came here with my brother and we ordered 4 sausages, 2 sodas, and a large fries for 2 people for $65. I know inflation is a thing, but I don't see myself coming back. Food was delicious but I would rather spend my money on food I feel is worth the cost.
First time here and my favorite part was the fries I got the rabbit and rattlesnake and I was shocked that they use real rattlesnake and rabbit meat. At first I thought it was just the name but it's quite popular here so I gave it a try. It was actually good and the buns are slightly toasted which I liked The thick cut fries are amazing with the pesto Mayo sauce mixed with the chipotle ketchup The drink I got was absolutely not good at all! I forgot the name but it had an orange in it But overall good place and I would like to try a regular hot dog next time
One of my favorite spots to eat at when I am in the Arts District in LA! This spot has a variety of exotic hot dogs and all the ones I have tried have been delicious. Their fries are amazing, we always get them topped off with the truffle oil glaze. Our go to is the Duck & Bacon with Jalapeno peppers sausage and the Lamb with Mediterranean Spices. I personally don't drink beer but my partner enjoyed the wide selection of beers here! They have personalized glasses for each selection which makes it unique. Overall the atmosphere is chill and laid back and can get pretty busy on weekends. Service was quick and attentive. Parking gets a little tricky sometimes. They are implementing paid street parking and the streets get filled up quick.
I've been going to Wurstküche for years after first learning about their selection of unique sausages and their amazing fries! I'm talking rattlesnake and rabbit with jalapeño peppers and duck and bacon, and more! Whatever your taste in sausages, this place has one for you...even vegetarians will have multiple options here! In addition to the ones I mentioned already, the Louisiana hot link, hot Italian, and their chicken and apple are all great choices. Their Belgian fries are crispy and satisfying, and are served with your choice of tasty dips. I highly recommend the pesto mayo, sundried tomato pesto, and the chipotle ketchup, but it's hard to go wrong! Located in the Arts District just across the way from Little Tokyo, this spot has always been a popular spot for lunch and after-hours drinks and eats. They are situated amongst other popular spots for eats, drinks, and desserts, so parking can be challenging to find if you come at a busy time. There isn't a dedicated parking lot for this place, so try for street parking or metered parking before you give in to one of the expensive nearby lots that charge in 20 minute increments. Vibe is super chill, laid back, and there are several beers on tap to choose from. Service has always been very helpful and friendly and they are always willing to share their recommendations in case you can't decide what you want to try! Save yourself some time by placing your order ahead of time and picking it up if you need a quick and tasty meal!
